One of the most convenient and effective ways of growing in your understanding of spiritual life is to make a habit of attending one or more of the many classes offered Sunday mornings through the Adult Christian Education (ACE) Program. Classes are open to anyone college age and above and are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The program follows a 15-week semester system (Fall & Spring).
Mission
The mission of the Adult Christian Education Program is “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness Christ.” Eph 4:12-13
Purpose
The purpose of the Adult Christian Education Program is to grow, nurture, and disciple believers toward maturity in Christ so that they are equipped to reflect His glory in every area and role of their lives, to minister to the spiritual as well as human needs of believers, and to prepare disciples who reflect Christ so that others are led to follow Him as Lord and Savior.
Program Goals
- Study of God’s Word and discovering God’s truth
- Teach accurate interpretation and practical application of the Word of God
- Develop a biblical and Kingdom-oriented worldview
- Provide training opportunities for teachers to communicate the Word of God in ways that others will learn
- Provide positive interaction of encouragement and support
- Promote opportunities to serve God and minister to others
- Be effective witnesses by examples of faith and conduct, according to the teachings of Christ.
Within the ACE Program, there are three educational tracks:
Foundation Building - Appropriate for any individual curious about Christianity, anyone just beginning his/her new spiritual journey and for any Christians seeking to strengthen their understanding of foundational truths. Classes within this track will lay the foundation for one’s spiritual growth and for living out a Christian life.
Biblical Exploration – Classes in this track will provide an in-depth study of a particular book or topic or individual within the Bible. Classes will present biblical teaching with practical application.
Kingdom Living – Content focus is on life change, not simply knowledge acquisition. These classes will assist believers to develop a Kingdom-oriented worldview, to live out kingdom principles daily, and to facilitate transformation of the believer’s life.
