MOPS is open to all mothers of infant through kindergarten-age children. MOPS recognizes the unique needs of mothers of young children and strives to meet those needs by providing discussion, teaching, creative activities and program for our little ones.
MOPS meets for 15 weeks in the Spring and 10 weeks in the Fall. Registration is required. When MOPS is in session, the moms meet in Room D-2, and the children meet in various rooms in the A and B buildings, every Friday from 9:30am until 12pm.
The mission of MOPS International is: to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Highlights of the ministry:
DISCUSSION: Belonging to a small group offers opportunities to develop new friendships and to be supported as a woman, wife, and mother. It is a safe and accepting place where moms can share their success, failures, questions and concerns.
TEACHING: Speakers, forums, and panels provide instruction and guidance based on biblical values. Topics are pertinent to moms during this season of life such as womanhood, marriage, childrearing and family.
CREATIVE ACTIVITIES: Through creative projects and activities, moms are encouraged to experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things.
MOPPETS: This program for our little ones provides quality care and teaching while the mothers enjoy a morning together. The children are in age-appropriate classrooms with loving, competent caregivers, and activities and curriculum promote the child’s social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
