Hudson and I spent time with 13 former students in Beijing, and 11 in Hong Kong. Hudson proved to be a good traveler and walker, even though the temperature was in the 90’s with high humidity. We felt God’s care a number of times, including protecting Hudson from aggressive monkeys on a hiking trail in Hong Kong and leaving Beijing just three hours before a large rainstorm flooded some of the subway stations and closed the airport for a few hours.
Another highlight was returning to a huge church in Beijing with about 12,000 regular attendees and a very vibrant ministry. We attended with a former student and her mother, and it was great to be able to get them connected. In Hong Kong we attended ISI’s annual staff conference. It was exciting to have it held outside of the U.S. as ISI becomes more of a factor in other countries.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement as we engage international friends all over the world!
