Jericho Prayer Walk by Local Outreach Ministry

God has given a special place in the hearts of our church family for Don Julian Elementary School. From the young ones, to our youth, to our Adults/Harvesters alike, we have graciously given our time and resources; filling up backpacks with school supplies, providing uniforms, encouraging teachers/administrators through luncheons, tutoring with ThinkTogether, supporting all through prayer. What joy it has been to serve! Truly we have been blessed to be a blessing.

God planted us here to be part of the La Puente community. Indeed, He has plans to stretch us outside of our comfort zones to love our neighbors as He intends.

Although we can create good programs to reach our neighbors, the question remains, is it in God's plan and is it in God’s timing?

It is our desire to follow God, seek His plans, and wait on His timing; for it is His ministry that we partner with. Prayer, then, must play a key role in our obedience towards His calling for Evergreen SGV to love our neighbors.

As such, the local outreach ministry has developed an Opportunity to Serve (OTS) in praying for Don Julian School families, the community we share, and to observe/listen to what God is already doing.

Every 4th Sunday, for the next 3 months, we will gather in room E-5 from 12:30-3:00 pm for a light lunch and training before we step out into the neighborhood to saturate it in prayer.

Commit as a family, as you have done so in filling up backpacks, to pray for Don Julian School families. Come and join us and be blessed!
