We left Peter Tsukahira with a spiritual dilemma as he was seeking to know God. Let’s continue.
However, when I read that single verse in John, in one revelatory instant I understood clearly that Jesus was truly human. He understood how important a father is to every man. His strength came from his relationship with his own father. Jesus was real, what he said was true and that meant God was not distant but here with us. I also realized at that moment that I believed in Him for the first time. I knelt on the dirt floor of the wooden pump-house where I was living and prayed my first real prayer of consecration, “Lord, take me as your servant and let your light shine through me.” This time I felt the prayer coming from the core of my being and I knew in that same inner place that God’s Spirit was somehow close by and that He had heard my cry.
I remember when I prayed to invite Jesus into my life as Lord and Savior. It was a very simple prayer that I prayed from the sincerity of my mind and the depths of my heart. Peter and I have one thing in common with everyone who has ever prayed a prayer like ours. Jesus answered our prayer with a resounding yes! He always does.
Where are you in life’s journey? Has God seemed distant and unconcerned about the realities of your life? Are you at the edge of despair and the brink of desperation? Do you have hope or are you on the verge of hopelessness?
God wants to meet you wherever you stand at the moment. Whether you are in a pump-house in New Mexico, a church building in El Monte, California or the living room of your house, Jesus is ready and willing to meet you.
Jesus died for you and His loving Father raised Him from the grave. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
If you haven’t already and would like to give your life to Christ, confess your sin and ask Jesus to come into your life and give you a new life.
After you do this, send us an email so we can get in touch with you.
You are now ready to live a life devoted to the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Something to do and then to think about...
