“But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him,
if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
- Deuteronomy 4:29 (ESV)
SEEK is a ministry to help those who need both practical skills and biblical encouragement when searching for a job. Let’s face it, job searching can feel overwhelming and discouraging at times, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you are a recent college grad, are in career transition, have been laid-off, are a stay-at-home parent who is now looking for work, or you just want to update your resume, the SEEK ministry is here to help.
Did you know that there are simple things job seekers can do to increase their chances of being found on job boards? Want to know the “secret” of using LinkedIn.com to network with others to find unposted job opportunities? Interested in developing a personalized strategy to kick-start your job search? Need ways to remain encouraged during the job search process? If your answer to one or more of these questions is “yes”, then the SEEK ministry is for you.
Areas of assistance include:
- interviewing skills: telephone & in-person
- internet job searching
- finding helpful resources
- and much more.
This ministry is open to anyone who attends Evergreen, but also to your unchurched friends, neighbors or relatives. Please pray about those who the Lord may be calling you to invite to receive help with their job search and to visit our church.
Individual meetings are by appointment only and are available on Sundays from 9:30am-10:30am during the Church School hour. In order to best assist you, please fill-out a brief questionnaire HERE and you will be contacted by email. If you have any questions, contact K.T. Jong.
May the Lord be glorified as we SEEK after Him in all that we do.
