It's Really That Simple!

As we adjust back home, our lives begin to be weighed down by our responsibilities...work, kids, school. On the outside our lives seem to fall back into that all too familiar pattern, yet on the inside, all of us have been changed in big and small ways. I learned a huge life lesson that I hope will stay with me for the rest of my earthly life.

On our fifth day in Thailand, our team partnered up with Zoe's ministry students and missionaries to evangelize at a Night Bazaar in the streets of Chiang Mai.

Its a street market where vendors set up their goods on both sides of the street. We finished passing out our gospel tracks and the next part of the plan was to loop back around to talk to those who were reading them - amazingly many sat at their booths reading the tracks and some even asked for more to give to their friends! Along the way I wanted to revisit a cute booth I saw earlier to pick up some omiyage for my kids. Being directionally challenged (I can get lost in my own neighborhood!), I couldn't find it.  I was about to give up, when Les Ginoza, one of Zoe's missionaries, said, "Pam, stop and just pray! Ask God to show you where it is." I agreed to pray, but inside I was telling myself that there's no way I'll find this booth in the midst of 100's of stalls! I said the simplest prayer: "Dear Jesus, help me find the booth. Amen." We went on our way and as we finished talking to one of the vendors, I turned around and there was the booth!

Not only was I able to pick up omiyages for my kids but the young woman (in the light blue peacock tshirt on the right) who owns the booth remembered me and was open to receive prayer from our team.

It really was that simple: Stop and Pray!
