Evergreen SGV Basketball Ministry

Evergreen SGV does not currently manage its own boys' basketball program but rather participates in the CYC (Community Youth Council) basketball league.

CYC (Community Youth Council) was established in the 1950's and is rooted in the Japanese American community. The league has team representation from all over Los Angeles County (San Gabriel Valley, the South Bay, Torrance area, Westside and San Fernando Valley).

On average, Evergreen SGV fills between 8 to 10 boys basketball teams each season and also participates in the league's summer season and other weekend tournaments hosted by various organizations associated with CYC.

If your son is between the ages of 5 and 17 yrs and is interested in playing basketball, please contact us and we'll share with you our sports ministry philosophy and available basketball opportunities for your teen/child.

Gym locations:

Practice gyms are located around Monterey Park and San Gabriel areas. Sunday games are played at various gyms run by the CYC organization.

Practice and Game days and times:

Practices are on Saturdays between 8 am and 4 pm  and CYC games are on Sundays at 12 pm or later.
