Pastor Rocky Seto

Rocky Seto has been serving as Senior Pastor at Evergreen since 2019. Growing up in Southern California, Rocky's primary goal in life was to play football at the University of Southern California. After relentlessly pursuing his dream, playing at Mount San Antonio College, and then red-shirting at USC, and then being offered a full athletic scholarship, he realized that pursuing an identity in football was futile in light of eternity. In God's sovereign providence Christian teammates talked to Rocky about the good news of Jesus and he came to understand that life was about living for and honoring Christ as Lord and Savior. In 1998 Rocky repented of his sins, trusted in Christ, and became a follower of Jesus, and eventually joined Evergreen in 2000.

Rocky married Sharla (the athlete of the family who played soccer for USC, and who also became a Christian at the university) and they have four children. After coaching football at USC for 11 seasons (1999-2009) which led to two national championships, the Seto family moved to Seattle, where Rocky joined the coaching staff of the Seattle Seahawks (2010-2017), eventually winning a Superbowl and serving the team as the Assistant Head Coach under Head Coach Pete Carroll.

After 18 years of coaching football, Rocky experienced a call to ministry and returned to Evergreen in 2017, this time as one of the church's pastors. As the church's preaching pastor, Rocky's primary calling is to disciple the church through the preaching of the Word (2 Tim 4:2). Rocky holds a B.S. and M.A. from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in Theology from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expositional Preaching from The Master's Seminary.
